Cap Fréhel and Brittany offer new horizons

Hotel Diane is an invitation to travel!

Cap Fréhel is situated between the inescapable Mont St Michel and the magnificent Granit Rose coast. Thanks to the hotel’s geographical location, you’ll have quick access to all of our northern coastline’s reputable landmarks.

Staying at Hotel Diane in Sables d’Or les Pins gives you stress-free access to one of Brittany’s most remarkable natural settings. Our hotel is near a vast fine sand beach found along a famous seaside resort. The environment lends perfectly to all sorts of water sports and recreational activities. Sand yachting, windsurfing, paddle boarding, canoeing-kayaking or even kitesurfing are all outdoor experiences Brittany has to offer!

From our hotel, you’ll find a vast array of excursions awaiting you, such as cap Erquy, cap Fréhel, Fort La Latte as well as several golf courses, notably the one found in Sable d’Or. For those of you who love nature’s wonders, the Penthièvre coastline, known as “Brittany’s Riviera”, situated in Côtes d’Armor, offers sun-bleached dunes and cliffs sculpted by water, all found amid verdant, lush vegetation.

Exploring Sables d’Or

from our hotel and restaurant

For over a century, holidaymakers have appreciated the environment’s natural beauty. Keep in mind that Sables d’Or les Pins is also famous for its characteristic Anglo-Breton architectural style with its holiday villas (one of which has been listed for its unique architecture) displaying a style that is quintessentially Norman or from 1920s Art Deco. You can learn about the resort’s history through our photographic display found throughout the hotel. Lose yourself in the Vallée de Diane where you’ll come upon the sylvan theatre. Enjoy a picnic at the lagoon and soak in the tranquillity of nature. Have some fun at the casino. This is one of Brittany’s holiday destinations where you can take a stress-free break from the real world.

Cap Fréhel – Cap d’Erquy

Near our hotel and restaurant

In 2018/2019, these two capes will be listed “grands sites naturels de France” (France’s most notable natural sites). Nature reigns supreme. Cap Fréhel’s rocky outcrop is well known by GR 34 hikers, fishermen and the ocean racing community (first leg of the Route de Rum yacht race). It draws the line between the Saint-Brieuc and Saint-Malo bays. A unique environment where pink sandstone, the ocean’s swell and sun rays blend together. From Cap Fréhel’s lighthouse (one of the farthest reaching in France: 80km), you can see Brittany’s eastern and western coastlines.

The beauty of Côtes d’Armor

St Brieuc, Bréhat Island, the Granit Rose Coast... all can be discovered from Hotel Diane

With its splendid seafront towering above the English Channel’s vast seascape, Côtes d’Armor is one of the jewels of Brittany’s coastline. After a good night’s rest and a delicious breakfast at Hotel Diane, you can easily explore the area’s many natural wonders, such as the Granit Rose coastline around Ploumanac’h (110 km) or the archipelago of Bréhat (90 km). In route, you can also explore the exceptional architectural heritage by making a stop at Lamballe’s national stud farm or by visiting, Moncontour, a small town of character (listed as one of France’s most beautiful villages).
